United Methodist Church Four Lanes
Is a multi-use community-based building in the middle of the village. Redesigned and refurbished in 2009 when Forest and Four Lanes chapels joined together to become UMC Four Lanes. We have strong links with St Andrews Pencoys and unite every Sunday sharing each other’s traditions, under the banner of FLAPJACK Four Lanes And Pencoys Join And Cheer the King.
Services
1st Sunday 11:15am Methodist Communion Service in the Chapel
2nd Sunday 11:15am Anglican Communion Service in Pencoys Church (except Jan-Easter when services are in the chapel due to the heating costs)
3rd Sunday 11:15am Methodist led service in the Chapel
6pm Anglican service at Pencoys Church
4th Sunday 10.30am Combined Redruth Parish Service in one of the Redruth Parish churches (latest information on the Redruth Parish Website)
5th Sunday 9.30am Breakfast Service -a shorter service followed by a hearty breakfast
We hold other courses and special services throughout the year
We have an accessible ramp, disabled toilet, and a good sound system.
Social events during the week
Wednesday each fortnight 2-4pm Games Afternoon -a chance for a cuppa, chat and board games.
Every Friday 2-4pm Carpet bowls -another time to get together have a chat and cuppa with a friendly game of bowls.
4th Saturday (except December) 11-1pm Bangers & Mash (£5 also vegetarian options, fish fingers and homemade deserts)
Our Partner church Pencoys holds monthly events in the Pencoys Church Hall
1st Saturday 6pm Quiz Night
3rd Saturday 6pm fun Bingo
Last Sunday 4-5pm there’s tea party between.

Our building is also regularly used by many community groups including the Four Lanes Male Choir, Carn Brea quilters, RVS Wednesday Club a social group for the over 55’s (the Wednesday opposite to the games afternoon) along with other occasional groups.
Whatever the property is used for, at both end of the building there is a cross to show why we are here.
